Jaromir
 

Jaromir Jezek

Mr. Ježek has taught in several countries including Germany, France, Japan, and Taiwan. In the year 1992 he founded The Language House, one of the first private language schools in Prague after the Velvet Revolution. He speaks several languages including Russian, German, French, English, Japanese, and Chinese.

 
Chris Westergaard
 

Chris Westergaard

Chris was born in Brussels Belgium and then at the age of two moved to New York and then later Minnesota. Chris has been teaching EFL since 2001 and has taught in Vienna and Prague as well as tutored students in English for the University of Minnesota. Chris is primarily interested in Educational Psychology as well as integrating modern EFL methodologies. Chris is the head trainer and course developer at The Language House and will be your main contact person during your training. Known for his dynamic classroom approach, Chris believes that creativity with an equal part of both structure and spontaneity is crucial for both student acquisition of language and teacher development. Chris is currently on break and residing in New Mexico. He still will be your main contact person.

John Hanes

John Hanes has 6 years of TEFL experience teaching at Charles University and the Academy of Science of the Czech Republic.  He has an extensive academic background in the psychology, philosophy, and cognitive neuroscience of language.  He has worked first hand in the scientific investigation of chimpanzee language cognition at the Ohio State University Primate Center in addition to providing therapy for the improvement of the language functioning of autistic children. His hobbies include international travel, foreign language learning, chess, playing guitar, and athletics.

 
Amy Livingston
 

Amy Livingston

After studying abroad in Prague, Amy graduated from Clemson University, South Carolina, with degrees in Sociology and Anthropology in 1999. She taught secondary Advanced Placement US History, Geography, Current Events/Foreign Relations, and various other social studies subject while obtaining a Master Degree in Education, 2005. Her emphasis of study included Teaching Methodology, Philosophy of Education and Brain Based Learning Theories. Professional interests include linguistic anthropology and continuing towards a PhD in Education with a focus on Psycholinguistics, or language learning theories. Personal interests include boxing, puzzle games, and traveling through the countryside of Eastern Europe to experience the culture and beauty of life outside larger cities. Amy is currently the head trainer at The Language House.

 
Pete Luketic
 

Peter M. Luketic

Pete, an Ohio native, comes to The Language House and Prague from Germany where he translated for the US Military. He has attended the University of Zagreb, Croatia and The Ohio State University where he studied Slavic Languages and Linguistics. Pete currently runs his own translation and English teaching services business in Prague.

 
Dita Kolomejevova
 

Dita Kolomejevova

Dita is a Czech native that has been working on and off the course for the last 3 years. Now as a full time employee, Dita is responsible for organizing logistics and billing for the course. In her spare time, Dita enjoys orienteering in Czech forests. Dita is a huge help for students on the course and is always available for assistance with anything dealing with Czech Language.

Lennie Bellew

Lennie has been working in Prague as a teacher since 2002 teaching mostly business, conversational and one-to-one classes. She currently helps with lesson observations and lesson planning.

 
Derek Roan
 

Derek Roan

Derek has been working in Prague as an English teacher since 2005. While also an accomplished musician, Derek helps with teacher observations.

 
Amy Molnar
 

Amy Molnar

Amy Molnar was born and raised in Indiana, where she earned her bachelor's degree in Elementary Education with an endorsement in reading/literacy. Amy studied Educational Pyschology at the University of Pretoria, South Africa and it was at this point where her passion for both teaching and travelling were realized. Amy is a recent graduate of the Language House TEFL course and is excited to be exploring another realm of teaching in beautiful Prague.
